Tropicool, a global brand of açaí and superfoods, has unveiled an exclusive production process for açaí pulp that ensures quality and food safety through aseptic production. This method preserves the fruit's nutrients, maintaining its quality and enabling ready-to-eat açaí to be distributed anywhere in the world without the need for freezing.
Rafael Prado, Global Head of Tropicool, highlights the significance of this innovation for the food market. “We are committed to the sustainable and safe production of superfoods. Tropicool’s innovation begins with the processing of açaí. Upon arrival at the factory, the fruits undergo a rigorous sanitization process to ensure they are completely free of impurities. Next, the fruits are subjected to a mild thermal shock that eliminates potential microorganisms without compromising their natural nutrients.
This aseptic procedure, performed in a controlled, air-free environment, prevents any risk of contamination and results in a safe, flavorful, and nutrient-rich pulp. “The aseptic chain implemented by Tropicool surpasses traditional freezing methods by preserving the nutritional properties and flavor of açaí,” concludes the Global Head.
